👩⚕️ Who May This Test Be Suitable For?
This test may be suitable if you are experiencing symptoms such as:
😴 Tiredness or low energy
⚖️ Unexplained weight changes
🌡️ Feeling unusually cold or hot
💓 Palpitations or feeling shaky
💇 Hair thinning or dry skin
🧠 Brain fog, low mood or anxiety-type symptoms
📌 This test provides thyroid marker information only and does not diagnose thyroid disease on its own.
⚡ Why Are These Markers Important?
🦋 TSH is produced by the pituitary gland and helps regulate thyroid activity.
🧪 Free T4 is one of the main thyroid hormones circulating in the blood.
🔥 Free T3 is an active thyroid hormone involved in metabolism, energy and temperature regulation.
💡 Checking all three markers gives a broader picture than checking TSH alone.
🔍 How Is This Different from the Advanced Thyroid Function Test?
The Thyroid Function Blood Test checks the main thyroid function markers: TSH, Free T4 and Free T3.
The Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Test goes further by also checking thyroid antibodies, which may be useful when looking at autoimmune thyroid conditions.
💡 If you want a standard thyroid function check, this test may be suitable. If you want a more detailed thyroid profile including antibodies, consider the advanced test.
