๐Ÿ’™ Weight Loss Clinic in Prescot

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ Pharmacist-Led Weight Management

At Prescriptions Pharmacy, we provide a private, pharmacist-led weight loss service for adults seeking a safe, structured and clinically appropriate approach to managing their weight.

Every consultation includes an individual assessment with a qualified prescribing pharmacist. Any decision to recommend or prescribe treatment is based on your medical history, current medicines, weight-management needs and personal risk factors.

๐Ÿ“ Access professional weight loss support locally at our Prescot pharmacy.

๐Ÿฅ— A Structured Approach to Weight Loss

Healthy eating, physical activity and sustainable lifestyle changes remain central to successful weight management. However, some people find it difficult to achieve or maintain meaningful weight loss through lifestyle measures alone.

Our service follows a structured clinical pathway. Your pharmacist will review your circumstances, discuss your goals and assess whether additional support, including prescription weight loss treatment, may be suitable.

Where treatment is prescribed, it is intended to support โ€” rather than replace โ€” changes to diet, activity and everyday habits.

โš–๏ธ Our focus is on safe, gradual and sustainable progress tailored to your individual needs.

๐Ÿงฌ Weight, Metabolic Health and Testosterone

Weight, metabolic health and energy levels can sometimes overlap with hormone-related symptoms. Low energy, reduced motivation, changes in body composition and sexual health concerns can have several possible causes.

Patients concerned about low testosterone may also be interested in our Private Testosterone Assessment and Replacement Therapy (TRT) Service , which provides a structured pathway with venous blood testing, clinical review and ongoing monitoring where appropriate.

๐Ÿงฉ Am I Suitable?

You may be suitable for an assessment through our private weight loss clinic if you:

๐ŸŽ‚ Are 18 years of age or over

โš–๏ธ Have a BMI of 30 or above

๐Ÿซ€ Have a BMI of 27 or above together with a weight-related health condition

๐Ÿ“ Suitability is confirmed during your consultation. This includes a review of your medical history, current medication, previous weight-loss attempts, treatment preferences and weight-management goals.

โš ๏ธ Prescription treatment may not be appropriate for everyone, including some people with certain medical conditions, those taking particular medicines, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

๐Ÿ’Š Wegovy Tablets and Oral Semaglutide

Wegovy is available in both a once-daily tablet and a once-weekly injection formulation. Wegovy tablets contain semaglutide and provide an oral weight loss treatment option for clinically suitable adults.

The tablet is taken once each day. Treatment usually starts at a lower strength, with the dose increased gradually where appropriate and according to the instructions provided by your prescriber.

Some patients may prefer a daily weight loss tablet, while others may prefer a weekly injection. The most appropriate option depends on your medical history, current medication, clinical needs, treatment response and personal preferences.

Your prescribing pharmacist will explain how to take Wegovy tablets correctly if they are prescribed, including any important instructions relating to food, drink and other medicines.

โš ๏ธ Wegovy tablets are prescription-only medicines. They can only be supplied following a full consultation and where oral semaglutide is considered safe and clinically appropriate for you.
